Prestat was established in 1902 by Antoine Dufour following his family’s creation of the chocolate truffle in Chambery, France, in December 1895.
For many years our chocolates travelled the world on board the Royal Yacht Britannia and in 1975 Prestat had the honour of being awarded a Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth II. To Prestat’s further delight it was awarded a second Royal Warrant by Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, in her centenary year.
Our chocolates and truffles have been enjoyed by kings and queens, sultans and maharajas, princesses and presidents, stars of stage and screen, indeed by anyone who delights in the pleasure that only the finest chocolate brings.
